What to Record During a Hollow Block Machine Factory Acceptance Test

A factory acceptance test is most useful when the buyer and supplier agree what will be checked before the demonstration starts. A short video and a verbal “machine runs well” do not define an acceptance record. Prepare a checklist linked to the actual order and approved block drawing.

Confirm the identity of the tested equipment

Record the machine identification, supplied configuration and mold reference. Compare them with the order documents and note any difference. Where an accessory is not present during the demonstration, state that it has not been tested as part of the complete arrangement.

Ask for wide photographs and identification details as well as close-up footage. The purpose is to connect the test evidence to the equipment and tooling being supplied, not to borrow results from a similar model.

Define the test conditions

State the materials used, batch identity, operator arrangement and duration of the observation. Identify checks that require the buyer’s local materials or later site installation. A factory test may provide useful evidence without establishing performance under every future site condition.

If output is discussed, agree the timing boundaries and the definition of accepted units. Separate actual observed counts from theoretical capacity calculations and from supplier estimates for a longer shift.

Keep the key sequence continuous

Request an uncut view of the relevant working sequence so filling, forming, stripping and handling can be understood in context. Close-up clips can supplement it but should not hide interruptions or change the apparent operating speed.

Do not require unsafe camera access or ask operators to bypass guards for a clearer shot. The supplier should choose a safe filming position. Record interruptions honestly instead of editing them into an apparent continuous cycle.

Link samples to agreed checks

Identify the sample blocks and their corresponding batch and mold. Record dimensions and appearance against the approved drawing, with the agreed tools and measurement stage. Where formal product testing is required, agree who performs it and how the results are associated with the samples.

CMHA’s testing guidance distinguishes standardized sampling and tests from casual observation. A video or appearance check cannot substitute for a test required by your specification. Do not insert a generic strength or tolerance into the acceptance checklist without agreement.

Close the test with an action list

Acceptance item Record to retain
Equipment and mold identity Model, identifiers and drawing references
Trial conditions Materials, people and observed duration
Operating evidence Continuous sequence plus useful detail views
Product checks Identified samples and results
Open items Responsible person and agreed follow-up

Ask both parties to acknowledge the outcome and any exceptions. “Accepted with open items” should identify those items explicitly. A clear record supports a practical handover without pretending that a single demonstration proves every aspect of future production.

Discuss your requirements

Review our factory information and contact Hendely Block Machine with your block drawing, machine details and project location. Ask for written confirmation of the configuration that applies to your project.
